Why Shopify stores need a withdrawal flow

When you sell to consumers in the EU or EEA, the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) gives most distance buyers a 14-day right of withdrawal. You must make that right easy to exercise, confirm the request in writing on a durable medium, and keep a clear record of what was submitted and when. Directive 2023/2673 goes further on the storefront withdrawal function for online contracts, with wider effect from June 2026. A shared inbox of emails is not an audit trail, and a returns label tool alone does not document the legal request.

SafeRadar is built for that gap. It adds the EU withdrawal button and form through a theme app extension, adds a Withdraw from purchase action in new customer accounts, sends confirmation emails, tracks deadlines against a per-shop period of 14 to 365 days, and stores every request with timestamps for later review. Reports summarise volume and status. The Trust Center keeps Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and a Data Processing Agreement in one place for merchants and partners who ask.

It does not replace a returns app for logistics, shipping labels or warehouse intake. Many merchants run SafeRadar next to a returns or RMA product: SafeRadar owns the legal withdrawal request and the evidence; the returns app owns the parcel. Product

What SafeRadar includes

Concrete pieces of the product, not slogans: storefront blocks, customer-account action, emails, log, reports, Trust Center and 24 EU languages.

Withdrawal button and form

Theme app extension blocks: an embedded form on a dedicated page, or a popup button in the header or footer. Customers enter order ID and email; no account required.

Customer account action

In new Shopify customer accounts, shoppers can use Withdraw from purchase on an eligible order, with items and quantities prefilled.

Confirmation emails

Automatic confirmation on submission, plus approval and rejection notices. Editable subjects and bodies, your logo and sender address, treated as a durable medium.

Requests log and deadlines

Every request lands in the Requests log with timestamps and an audit trail. Deadline tracking highlights orders close to or past the withdrawal window.

Reports and period settings

Reports cover request volume, status and timelines. Settings let each shop set a withdrawal period from 14 to 365 days (EU minimum is 14).

Trust Center and languages

Trust Center links Terms, Privacy Policy and DPA. The storefront widget ships in all 24 official EU languages.

How merchants set it up

  1. Install from the Shopify App Store listing. SafeRadar is listed as free on the Shopify App Store; see the listing for current plan details. This site does not publish prices.
  2. On the Installation page, add the Admin widget where you review orders, then open the Theme Editor and place the SafeRadar withdrawal block (embedded form or popup button).
  3. Enable the customer-account extension so signed-in shoppers see Withdraw from purchase on eligible orders.
  4. Edit Email Templates for confirmation, approval and rejection. Send a test message before you go live.
  5. In Settings, set the withdrawal period (14 to 365 days). Use Requests and Reports day to day, and keep the Trust Center documents linked for audits and partner reviews.

FAQ

Common questions about SafeRadar

Answers match the product as it ships today: theme extension, customer accounts, emails, audit log, languages and the Shopify listing.

What is SafeRadar?

SafeRadar by Radrly is a Shopify app that adds the EU withdrawal button and a withdrawal flow to a store, with confirmation emails, deadline tracking and audit logs for the 14-day right of withdrawal. Merchants install it from the Shopify App Store and add the storefront blocks through a theme app extension.

Who makes SafeRadar?

SafeRadar is made by Radrly (Radrly Sp. z o.o., Poland), the software company behind SafeRadar and other Shopify and Atlassian apps. Company site: https://radrly.com/.

What is the EU withdrawal button?

The EU withdrawal button is a clear, easy way for consumers to exercise the 14-day right of withdrawal when buying online. Directive 2023/2673 strengthens that obligation for distance contracts from June 2026. SafeRadar adds a branded withdrawal button and form to a Shopify storefront through a theme app extension, and a Withdraw from purchase action in new customer accounts.

Which EU rules does SafeRadar help with?

SafeRadar helps merchants document and operate the EU 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), and prepare the storefront withdrawal function associated with Directive 2023/2673. It also ships with a Trust Center that links Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and a Data Processing Agreement (GDPR Art. 28). It is not legal advice and does not replace counsel for your shop.

Does SafeRadar replace a returns app?

No. SafeRadar focuses on the legal withdrawal request, confirmation emails on a durable medium, deadline tracking and an audit trail. It does not replace a returns app for logistics, shipping labels, warehouse intake or refund automation. Many merchants run SafeRadar alongside a returns or RMA tool.

Does SafeRadar keep an audit log?

Yes. Every withdrawal request is stored in the Requests log with timestamps and an audit trail of status changes. Merchants can review who submitted what, when confirmation emails went out, and how each request was handled.

Which languages does SafeRadar support?

The storefront withdrawal widget ships with the 24 official EU languages, so customers can use the form in their language. The merchant admin UI is in English.
